FALL COOKING CLASSES WITH SCOTT HOWELL
Join the illustrious Chef of Nana’s this autumn for fun and instructive lunchtime cooking classes — after each two-hour session, join Scott at the table to eat what you’ve prepared, accompanied by fine wine. These are intimate, hands-on classes, and availability is extremely limited, so book now and bring your appetite!
Saturday, October 20th: “Braising and Poaching” As the weather cools, it’s time for long, warm cooking. In this class, Scott takes you through the time-honored and delicious techniques of slow-poaching fish, and braising lamb shanks and beef short ribs.
Saturday, November 10th: “A New Southern Thanksgiving” It wouldn’t be a Thanksgiving class without roasting a turkey, but this class puts new twists on the traditional southern side dishes, including Scott’s renowned “cranberry luv.” This class will get you excited and prepared for your own Thanksgiving dinner.
Saturday, December 8th: “A Nana’s Christmas Dinner” North Carolina is pork country! This class will feature a succulent fresh holiday ham glazed with ginger, maple and brown butter. A full array of accompaniments is on the menu as well, including Scott’s (in?)famous sweet potato & prune gratin.
